It it interesting that I don't read young adult fiction, and yet it would be a genre of it's own. I read something once about teaching and encouraging children/youth to read and apparently reading comics is a really good skill for them to be exposed to as there are actually so few words (in comparison to a novel) that they have to imagine what is happening between captions/pictures.
